Quick before and after videos of tailgate operation on modern Volvo SPA models such as the Xc90, Xc60, V90, and V60. I think most owners can relate to this problem. I would expect Volvo to have resolved this earlier than this. Struts and shocks go bad, of course, sometimes they give out, and sometimes they becomes difficult to open. It seems to be one of the few weak points on these Volvo models.
